2 years ago, I used to live with my ex best friend who's mom was friends with the police in Ventura and she weaponized her connection to the cops to get away with stealing/breaking my furniture, vandalizing the apartment, and forcing me into homelessness 😀

Destiny (my ex friend/roommate) was upset I hadn't payed the pet deposit because she thought it would lead to us getting evicted, so she threatened to tell the office if I didn't pay it by the end of the month. I told her that I didn't want to be friends with someone who would do that bc she literally thought reporting me to the office would cause me to lose my housing and what kind of friend would do that??

Well after I told her I didn't want to be her friend anymore and that we were strictly roommates now she CRASHED TF OUT.
She didn't come home after that conversation (it happened over text) and the next day her mom (Nicole) showed up and told me Destiny was gonna file a restraining order against me for threatening her with a gun and I was like huh ???? Destiny and her mom made up a lie to try and get a restraining order against me so that she could move out before our lease was up.

Well she never got that restraining order but moved out anyways even though there's a $5,000 early move out fee (she didn't pay that either). She said I had 30 days to find a new roommate and I tried to, but was unsuccessful.

The mom said that if I didn't leave my home, she would send "crackheads" to come to the apartment and give them Destiny's key. When she said crackheads, she was talking about her PATIENTS FROM THE REHAB SHE RUNS. She said the rehab is the reason she's connected to the Ventura police too.

Destiny and her mother Nicole stole/broke my furniture and her mom even grabbed one of my plates and smashed it on the floor which injured my friend!!! I ended up calling the cops on her and like the mom predicted, they sided with her and said it was an "accident" even though it was 1000000% on purpose and she threw it so hard it damaged the floor!

This video is from the day Destiny moved out. Since I couldn't find a new roommate in time & couldn't afford the apartment on my own & because I was afraid of her giving the key to my house to random people, I was left homeless.

I stayed with friends in LA for a bit but ended up having to move back in with my parents in Texas for a while. I'm grateful I had family to help support me during that difficult period in my life, it showed me just how easy it is to become unhoused and how lucky I was to have a place to stay.

Many people don't have family with an extra bedroom who will let them stay there while they get their life back together, it's a privilege that I didn't take for granted.

People don't become unhoused because they're "lazy", our housing situation depends purely on luck and it shouldn't be that way. Safe housing should be a human right.
