I got a ton of DMs yesterday asking for some clarification so I’m gonna try!

The first one in this video is me “sucking in” which is what you DONT want to do. This can put increased pressure on the uterus which is not good for baby. This can also weaken your pelvic floor.

If you compare it to the second part I do which is “hugging the baby” you can see I am engaging my core muscles and can see as pulling my belly button in and up. Very beneficial during pregnancy and post partum.

Hopefully this visual helps differentiate the two!
