Kelloggβs has become the first major U.S. cereal maker to sign a legally binding deal with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton to remove petroleum-based artificial dyes, including Red 40, Yellow 5, and Yellow 6, from all its cereals by the end of 2027.
The agreement, covering brands like Froot Loops and Apple Jacks, follows years of pressure from consumer advocates over potential links between these dyes and behavioral issues in children.
