In Asia, High end labels have dignified man’s men digitally marketing cosmetics without the clown show. Men in the west are understandably mocking the way men’s skincare & cosmetics are depicted because those creators are making for women, anyway. So much of our issues with the “softening of men” is because we haven’t worked out how to properly advertise to males in newer domains. Men have been wearing makeup since film began and more men than ever are on camera. I would never think less if a YouTuber contoured his face for camera. Not gay.
